What does a stucco repair company actually do?

Two-story commercial building with tan stucco walls and scaffolding set up along one side for repair work

We fix the outer skin of a building. That means cutting out cracked or loose stucco, rebuilding the layers underneath, and blending a new finish into the wall around it. On bigger jobs it means resurfacing a whole elevation so years of mismatched patches disappear under one even coat.

Most of our work is on existing buildings. We are not the crew you call to wrap a new subdivision. We are the crew you call when an office on the west side has stained EIFS under every window, or when a 1920s house in Hillcrest has a long crack over the porch and the last patch is falling off.

Every job starts the same way. We look at the damage, figure out why it happened, and tell you whether a small repair will hold or whether the wall needs more. You get that answer in plain words before any work is scheduled.

Why does stucco crack and fail in Little Rock?

Three local conditions do most of the damage, and they work together.

Age adds to all of this. A lot of the stucco on older homes near the Governor's Mansion district and in the Heights is close to a hundred years old. A lot of the EIFS on offices along the Cantrell and Chenal corridors went up in the 1980s and 1990s, before drainage-style systems were common. Both kinds of wall are at the age where small problems turn into big ones.

Which buildings do we work on?

Our main focus is commercial property. We work for property managers, HOA boards, apartment owners, retail center owners and office building owners who need damaged walls fixed with as little disruption as possible to tenants and customers.

We also take residential jobs. Homeowners call us for cracks, failed patches, chipped corners, and walls that need a fresh finish before the house goes on the market. A single crack on a bungalow gets the same careful prep as a full wall on a strip center.

On commercial work we plan around business hours, parking, walkways and tenant traffic. On homes we plan around landscaping, kids and pets. Either way, we sweep up and haul off the old material before we leave.

What stucco services do we offer?

Each of these is its own page with more detail on how the work is done and what drives the cost:

Not sure which one you need? That is normal. The full list of what we do explains how the services overlap, and a phone call usually sorts it out in five minutes.

Should you repair the damaged spot or resurface the whole wall?

A spot repair makes sense when the damage is limited and the stucco around it is solid. We cut back to sound material, rebuild, and match the texture as closely as the wall allows.

Resurfacing makes sense when the wall has many cracks, several old patches, faded color or a finish that no longer looks like one surface. Patching that kind of wall one more time often costs more over five years than doing it once.

Neither option should be used to cover up moisture. If water is getting in, we find the path first. Paint and new finish coats over wet stucco just hide the problem until it shows up again as a stain or a soft spot.

What affects the cost of a stucco repair job?

We price each job flat and upfront, after we see it. These are the things that move the number:

We do not quote by phone sight unseen, because a crack that looks small in a photo can turn out to be a much bigger problem once we tap the wall around it.

How do we keep repairs from showing?

Honest answer: on an older wall, a perfect invisible match is not always possible. Sun, rain and old paint change stucco over the years. What we can do is match the texture by hand, feather the edges, and, when the color cannot be matched, recommend coating the whole wall section so the repair disappears.

We tell you before we start whether the patch will likely show. Nobody likes surprises when the scaffolding comes down.

How long does a typical job take?

Small crack and patch repairs are often done in a day or two, with a return visit for the finish coat once the base has cured. Larger repairs and resurfacing run longer because each coat needs drying time, and humid Arkansas weather slows that down.

We will not apply finish coats during a hard rain or a freeze. If the forecast turns, we reschedule rather than risk a coat that fails.

Questions people ask before they call

How much does stucco repair cost?

It depends on the size, depth and height of the damage, the type of stucco, and how much texture matching is needed. We look at the wall and give you a flat price in writing before any work starts. Estimates are free.

Do you clean up when the job is done?

Yes. We protect plants, walkways and windows while we work, and we sweep up and haul off all old stucco and debris before we leave each day.

How soon can you start?

Most jobs can be looked at within a few business days. Start dates depend on size and the weather forecast, since stucco coats need dry conditions to cure.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry insurance on every job, and we can send proof to a property manager or HOA board before work begins.

How do I schedule an estimate?

Call us or use the form on this page. Tell us where the damage is and, if you can, send a photo. We will set a time to come out and look.

Will insurance pay for my stucco repair?

Sometimes. Storm or impact damage is often covered, while slow aging usually is not. We can describe the damage in writing for your claim, but your carrier makes the call.
